Ghostwriting: Mastering an authentic brand voice with JLQuickFit

I worked with JL QuickFit owner and founder Jessica Louise (JL) over 6 months to develop her brand’s online presence, and create and manage content across her Instagram, Facebook, website and beyond.

The JLQuickFit brand is built around JL’s fearless female personality. She is the face and the voice of the brand. Her followers chose to connect and actively engage with her because they love her “vibe” – who she is, how she speaks and how she delivers her content. As a ghostwriter, it was extremely important for me to be able to absorb and replicate JL’s essence in my writing in order to create authentic, on-brand content.

From my first delivery of landing page copy to every Instagram post, blog, recipe and eBook afterwards, JL would jokingly tell me to get out of her head or suspiciously question if I was a mind reader. When it comes to ghostwriting and emulating your client’s voice, being compared to a “mind reader” is essentially the best compliment you can receive!

Am I a mind reader? No. Just an effective ghostwriter.

Being able to successfully reproduce or mimic a client or brand’s voice, while enhancing and polishing the output is not an easy feat, but it is a skill which I’ve come to master over the past few years and an attribute that makes my writing so valuable to my clients.

Ghostwriting is often undervalued and underestimated.

It’s a fully-loaded responsibility to uphold someone’s personal brand — not just delivering great content, but doing so in a genuine voice that their readers or followers will be able to connect with just as they would if it were straight from the horse’s mouth, as they say.

There’s a universal truth across every industry…

Brands and businesses want to create more content for their website and social media. But they simply do not have the time that it takes to develop something valuable and meaningful for their audience. This is where ghostwriting steps in and shines.
